Pilates aids in shoulder pain relief by improving the range of motion in the joints. The shoulder is a ball and socket joint that is mobile, i.e. with huge range of motions. Some common causes of shoulder pain are injuries to the rotator cuff, frozen shoulder, pinched nerves, tendinitis due to overuse, overexertion and shoulder joint instability.
