Concentration 101 - Full Pilates Equipment Certification

A 5/10 week course (450 hours) to certify in The Method® Pilates

This course takes place over five or ten weeks and prepares teachers for certification in The Method® Pilates. Learn to teach the original exercise protocols on the Reformer, Cadillac and Pilates chair. Apprenticeship, practice and assistant teaching are required during and following the course.

A written and practical exam is required for final certification. Upon successful completion of these hours you will become an Associate Instructor of the Physical Mind Institute practicing for at least 9 to 12 months before certification testing.

Prerequisites

» Successful completion of Initiation 101
» Ten private sessions on the Pilates Equipment
» Comprehension of the required study materials
» PhysicalMind Institute Membership

You are required to complete Initiation 101 and take at least ten private sessions on the Pilates equipment. Please arrange to register wtih Pilates Central for the ten private sessions upon registration.

Breakdown of Concentration 101 Hours

450 total course hours - 223 Hours to be completed during 10 week course:

» 40 hours of lecture
» 48 hours of observation
» 60 hours of self-practice
» 75 hours of supervised student teaching is required at Pilates Central
» Balance 227 hours of self-practice, attending classes, read books and view video etc during the period of 9 to 12 months before certification testing.
