Postural Review
For beginners with some mild issues like
mild scoliosis, limited flexibility, little movement experience,
or unsure about their own bodies, we recommend taking
a private session for assessment, guidance and review.
In this way, you can learn the options available to fix
it. This 45 minutes Postural Review is done with our master
trainer, Joanna who has more than 15 years of experience
not only as a Personal Trainer & Pilates Teacher Trainer,
she is also a movement therapist well skilled in bodyworks.
A Postural Review Assessment Session is a great way
to get started.
Trial Private Rehabilitation Session
For people with injuries, private consultation
is strongly recommended. Please bring along any MRI reports,
X-ray files or physician notes for your initial consultation.
You will be assessed in this 50mins session and be given
a 10mins recommendation on the options available to resolve
your problem.

colleagues or spouse for a fun and invigorating time
on the reformer or mat. A minimum of 4 persons required.
You can request your preferred time & day and send
in your request to info@pilatescentral.com.sg.
The rates you get is guaranteed to be better than our
regular class fee!
Regularity of Practice
To experience the optimal benefits of Pilates &
Gyrotonic, it's important to practise regularly. We
recommend a minimum of 3 times per week, more if you
can make the time. Whether in class or at home, practicing
Pilates or Gyrotonic on a consistent basis will accelerate
your learning and greatly enhance your overall health.
Age Requirement
Students under the age of 16 may not attend class, unless
with prior instructor approval. For optimum learning,
we recommend younger students to schedule one-on-one
sessions.
Attire
Wear athletic clothing that you can move in that is
flexible and non-binding, such as shorts, T-shirts,
tights and leotards. For the feet, a pair of toed socks
with grip is mandatory for ease of movement, comfort
and personal hygiene.
Mats and Props
Mats and props like fitball, foam roller, dyna bands,
TYE4 harness, straps and more are available for your
use during class. You may want to purchase your own
mat or small apparatus for reasons of personal hygiene
and regularity of practice. The studio carries a wide
selection of mats and small apparatus with instructions
for your convenience.
Arrival & Registration
Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your session to register,
pay and get ready for class. Your practice begins when
you arrive at Pilates Central & Rehabilitation,
so please remove your shoes & turn off your cell
phone.
Perfumes and Colognes
Please refrain from wearing perfumes and colognes during
class.
Food
Pilates & Gyrotonic exercises should be performed
on an empty stomach. Ideally, wait three to four hours
after a large meal, one to two hours after a light snack.
Health Conditions
Please consult your physician before starting any new
exercise regime, especially if you have health issues.
Inform the instructor of any serious health conditions
such as neck, back or joint injuries, heart disease,
high blood pressure, recent surgery, and pregnancy.
